Morgan grows up believing that she is an evil child worthy of punishment. Why else would her father disown her? Why else would her mother not answer her letters? When she meets her blind grandmother, Grace, she is delighted that at last she has a true family, but sadly her happiness is short lived.  Grace dies and it seems to be Morgan’s fault. It’s only when she becomes a mother herself and is forced to abandon her own son that the true story is revealed.

This is a novel that enlists magic, mythology and fantasy to uncover family stories with their misconceptions and regrets. Making their presence felt are the Truths and Lies, the What ifs and the Skeletons in the cupboard who all poke their noses through the narrative giving the writing an unusual, original, and stimulating style.
